Corey Perry was released by the Chicago Blackhawks at the end of November and was scheduled to finish his season with the Edmonton Oilers.
In any case, that's what David Pagnotta, The Fourth Period's informant, says. According to him, the two camps have already agreed on the terms of the contract and an official announcement on the matter could even come later on Sunday.

TSN's Ryan Rishaug confirmed the news and mentioned that the Oilers and Perry had indeed reached an agreement. We'd better wait until Monday, if not sooner, to get official confirmation.
As a reminder, the former Montreal Canadiens forward's contract was terminated by the Blackhawks after an incident occurred during an event attended by the organization's employees and sponsors.
He also subsequently said he began working with mental health and substance abuse experts to discuss his “alcohol issues.”
This season, Perry has four goals and five assists in 16 games. On June 30, the 2011 Hart Trophy winner signed a one-year, $4 million contract with Chicago.
