The Anaheim Ducks selected Quebec defensemen Noah Warren and Tristan Luneau in the second round of the National Hockey League draft on Friday.

Warren was selected 42nd overall, initially joining forward Nathan Gaucher, who was called up by the Ducks in the first round (22nd) Thursday night. The Anaheim organization continued its momentum by naming another Quebec Major Junior Hockey League product, Luneau, in 53rd place.
Warren and Luneau both played for the Gatineau Olympiques last season.
Warren is only 17 years old and is an excellent height at 6ft 5in and weighs 216 pounds. In 62 games with the 2021-2022 Olympiques, the Montreal native accumulated 24 points.
In the case of Luneau, 18, he scored 43 points in 63 games with the Gatineau club last season. The Victoriaville youngster added six assists in seven playoff games.
Langlois joins Lamoureux
The Arizona Coyotes, who picked Quebec defenseman Maveric Lamoureux in Thursday’s first round (29th), picked another Quebecer, Jérémy Langlois, of the Cape Breton Eagles in the third round (94th overall).
Originally from Saint-Jérôme, forward David Goyette will have the pleasure of continuing his development alongside Shane Wright at the Seattle Kraken. Goyette was called up at the bottom of the second round (61st) and wore the colors of the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario League in 2021-2022. He had 73 points, including 33 goals, in 66 games for Wolves.
