The 32-year-old was among the spectators in a box at FLA Live Arena watching the Panthers lose 4-3 to the New York Rangers.

In a video shared on social media, Koepka can be seen showing off an orange cone and shouting at Ekblad that it has the same effect as the object on the icy surface.

After the game, the Florida club’s back was questioned about his relationship with the golfer, who won four major titles.

“I don’t know him. We’re not friends and we’ve never been friends,” Ekbald told the media.

Koepka lives in Jupiter, Florida and is a regular at Panthers matchups. It’s understandable that he’s frustrated when he reveals himself to be a supporter of the club.

After winning the Presidents’ Trophy last year, the Panthers are having a disappointing 2022-23 season. With eight games remaining in their regular season, they are three points behind the team that has the final playoff berth in the National Hockey League Eastern Conference.

To return to Ekblad, the veteran is playing one of his worst career seasons. He had 12 goals and 19 assists for 33 points in 63 games, in addition to a -16 difference.

It’s only the second time in nine campaigns since he was drafted with the first-round amateur auction pick in 2014 that he’s set a negative record.
