NHL: Patrick Kane could make his decision next week

Striker Patrick Kane is still looking for his next team and wants to complete his research and get back to playing as soon as possible.

And if we rely on information from TSN network informant Darren Dreger, a result on this matter would be close. In fact, talks are reportedly underway between Kane’s clan, including his agent Pat Brisson, and the other National Hockey League (NHL) teams.

Eight to ten teams would also be in the running for the services of the former Chicago Blackhawks forward. Meanwhile, negotiations could be completed by next week.

“The list is less than 10 teams, it would be closer to eight, and they will try to narrow it down by the end of the week,” Dreger said on air Tuesday. They hope to make a final decision probably next week.”

As a reminder: According to information from the New York Post newspaper, the New York Rangers are no longer in the running. However, according to TSN last week, other Eastern Conference teams are still in the running, including the Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabers and Detroit Red Wings.

Remember, Kane decided not to reach an agreement with any of the 32 NHL teams this summer because he had hip surgery on June 1. Last year, the 34-year-old scored 21 goals and 36 assists for 57 points in 73 games for the Blackhawks and Rangers.
