NHL: The Sabers are tired of seeing Canadiens fans in their arena

As they welcome certain teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, to their local games at the KeyBank Center, the Buffalo Sabers notice the presence of thousands of visiting fans, but they have every intention of changing the situation to somewhat resume “The.” Rink Advantage”.

The Buffalo News reported this week that the organization intends to limit the number of presale tickets available to customers outside of the region. This would involve using customers’ zip codes to identify those who can make purchases. The exact dimensions and relevant details have not currently been clarified by the club.

However, the local paper noted in its article that the goal is to reduce the number of Canadian fans when the Habs and Toronto Maple Leafs come to town. Ditto for the Americans who cheer on the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings, all teams based relatively close to Buffalo.

“Of course we saw a bad shade of blue or red in the building at several games last year depending on which jersey we were wearing. “It’s a topic that we’ve talked about, and we’ve talked about figuring out how to get our hands on tickets for Buffalo fans,” admitted Frank Batres-Landaeta, the club’s vice president of sales.

According to the same source, the Sabers had around 10,000 season ticket holders in 2022-2023, compared to around 6,500 the previous year. The Canadian will also be traveling to the city of chicken wings on Monday, October 23rd and Saturday, December 9th.
