NHL Will Anthony Duclair be next to move

NHL: Will Anthony Duclair be next to move?

San Jose Sharks forward Anthony Duclair is a serious candidate for a trade before the National Hockey League (NHL) trade deadline on March 8.

At least that's the opinion of the DailyFaceoff site's ice hockey expert Frank Seravalli.

For the period 2023-2024, the Quebecer has a three-year contract that allows him to earn $3 million annually.

Duclair, like most Sharks players, is having a season of ups and downs. So far, he has 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points in 50 games. He also maintained a -12 differential.

Seravalli suggests that Duclair is the easiest Sharks player to trade due to his contract status. He explains that several teams are interested in attackers Mikael Granlund and Logan Couture, but their agreements, which are valid for several more seasons, make any exchange project difficult.

Duclair is playing his tenth NHL season, but his first in a Sharks jersey. He previously worked for the New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers. The Pointe-Claire native collected 280 points, including 133 goals, in 540 career games on the Bettman circuit.
