NHL Will the Stars force a seventh game

NHL: Will the Stars force a seventh game?

After two failed attempts, the Golden Knights managed to knock out the Stars with a 6-0 win in Game 6 of the Western Finals on Monday night in Dallas.

This marks the second time the Las Vegas team has entered a Stanley Cup final after losing five games to the Washington Capitals in its first year, 2018.

The Golden Knights open Saturday’s Stanley Cup Finals at home against the Florida Panthers.

Despite the return of their captain Jamie Benn, the Stars failed to force a seventh and final clash. They were attempting to become only the fifth team to come from a 3-0 playoff deficit.

The meeting got off to a bad start for the stars. The Knights scored three goals in the first 14 minutes. The support team set the tone as William Carrier quickly broke the ice. Keegan Kolesar also completed the Quebec game about ten minutes later. Michael Amadio also shone in the third period with a goal and an assist.

“If you have people of the same quality [Carrier, Kolesar et Roy] The strength of the team lies in the fourth row,” said Jonathan Marchessault after the game.

Lack of patience from the fans…

This bitter setback is reminiscent of Game 3 when the Stars were beaten 4-0. That evening, devotees grew impatient, even going so far as to throw objects at the icy surface.

This time around, many Dallas fans left their seats after 40 minutes in the face of their favorites’ lack of fighting spirit. However, they cheered their favorites in the last minute of the game and thanked them for the great season.

“We knew we could be physically active and play. Will played incredibly today,” said Nicolas Roy.

It has to be said that the Stars didn’t have much to eat with 23 shots all blocked by Adin Hill.

The Stars came back with a little more vigor in the second period, but it was the Knights who threw up even more mid-game. On his team’s first throw in the second throw, Marchessault hit the target with a breakaway. The Quebecer has nine goals to his credit, beaten only by Karlsson (10), who scored a brace.
