Nicaragua and Iran are committed to strengthening bilateral relations

At a meeting in this capital, both ministers agreed to promote and deepen bilateral relations in the areas of economy, trade, investment, science and technology, politics and culture, and to counteract unilateral coercive measures.

The foreign ministers also addressed issues of mutual interest related to the construction of a new world and multipolar order.

In this sense, they emphasized the need to strengthen international solidarity cooperation in support of the Palestinian people and called for the end of Israeli aggression and crimes and the realization of the independent and sovereign State of Palestine.

The Nicaraguan delegation also reportedly met with Deputy Foreign Minister for Law and International Affairs Reza Nayafi; and Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari, with whom they discussed issues of common interest.

According to the information disclosed, the representation of Managua visited the Science and Technology Center of the Iranian Presidency, where they learned first-hand about the latest scientific, technological and innovative advances in this country.

In addition to the Chancellor, the Nicaraguan delegation consists of the Vice Minister for International Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, Carlos Cerda, and the Nicaraguan Ambassador here, Ramón Moncada.
