Presidential adviser for the promotion of investment, trade and international cooperation, Laureano Ortega, highlighted the Asian giant’s gesture of solidarity when there are only a few days left until the celebration of the first anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations.
“Just one year after the resumption of diplomatic relations, we continue to receive these expressions of affection, brotherhood, love and solidarity for which we are deeply grateful,” Ortega said.
He reiterated the importance and appreciation of ties with China, which have been developing in collaborative projects with the people of this Central American nation in recent months.
“For improving the living conditions of the Nicaraguan people and for rapprochement, for further strengthening these friendly and cooperative ties with the Chinese people, we have received these great displays of affection in the fields of health, education and culture,” commented.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador here, Chen Xi, expressed his satisfaction at his government’s donation of technological materials to help develop education for Nicaraguan students.
“China is a socialist country that pays much attention and importance to education as the future of a nation depends on it,” the diplomat said.
In this spirit, he congratulated the Minister of this sector, Lilliam Herrera, on the successful completion of the school year and highlighted the achievements of the Sandinista Executive in terms of education over the past 15 years.
The technical case contains, among other things, sound technology, laptops and tablets.
