But Nicholas Cage proved he’s just like the rest of us on Monday as he went shopping with his wife Riko Shibata at a local supermarket in Busselton, Western Australia.
In scenes reminiscent of his Oscar-winning film “Leaving Las Vegas,” the 59-year-old was seen pushing around a shopping cart full of purchases.
In an iconic scene from the 1995 film, his character goes on a liquor shopping spree to drink himself to death in Sin City.
But on Monday he swapped the alcohol for fresh vegetables and diapers for the young daughter he shares with Shibata.

He was seen leaving the mall with a shopping cart full of vegetables, potatoes, diapers and paper towels.
Ms Riko also opted for a casual look for the outing, wearing white jeans, a white T-shirt and a cardigan.
She completed her look with black combat boots.

Nic will film The Surfer, a psychological thriller, in Western Australia’s most famous surfing and wine region.

It’s unknown how long Nic will remain in Australia for filming, but the star has already caused a stir in the small community
