The Carter family has lost another member of their tribe.
According to TMZ, Nick and Aaron Carter's sister, Bobbie Jean Carter, has died. She was 41.
Bobbie Jean's mother, Jane Carter, released a statement to the outlet on Saturday about her daughter's “sudden” death.
“I am shocked to learn of the sudden death of my daughter Bobbie Jean. and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this event for the third time,” she said, referring to the deaths of Aaron in 2022 and Leslie Carter in 2012.
“When I am able to think clearly, I will make a more detailed explanation; But until then, I would like to ask that you leave yourself alone to grieve.”
Jane added: “[H]As deeply as a parent feels the loss of a child, the grief of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.

“So I would ask those of compassion to say a prayer for my precious 8-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now left without her mother too.”
Details about Bobbie Jean's death are scarce, but TMZ reported that she died in Florida on Saturday.

She was most recently arrested in June on retail theft and drug possession charges after she allegedly tried to steal $55 worth of arts and crafts from a Hobby Lobby in Brooksfield, Florida.
After Bobbie Jean was taken to an office by store employees who called police, the “House of Carters” alum reportedly grabbed her purse “in a panic” and threw a powder blue container under the desk.
A field test later confirmed the container contained grams of fentanyl.

This is the third tragedy for the Carter family, who suffer greatly from substance abuse.
In January 2012, Bobbie Jean's younger sister Leslie died of an overdose at the age of 25.
Then, in November 2022, Aaron was found dead in his bathtub at his home in Lancaster, California. The “I Want Candy” singer died as a result of drowning and exposure to difluoroethane, a flammable gas, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax. He was 34.
