Nick Carter denies new sexual assault allegations Backstreet Boys star

Nick Carter denies new sexual assault allegations: Backstreet Boys star is accused of assaulting a 15-year-old girl aboard a yacht in 2003 – the singer has faced similar allegations from two other women

Nick Carter is denying allegations of sexual assault by a woman in a new lawsuit over an alleged 2003 incident that occurred when she was 15 and he was 23.

The woman claims the Backstreet Boys singer sexually assaulted her on a yacht and later on a bus after getting her drunk, TMZ reported Tuesday after reviewing court documents.

According to the outlet, the woman did not identify herself in the lawsuit.

The 43-year-old entertainer denied the allegations made in the lawsuit.

Carter’s attorney, Dale Hayes Jr., told the outlet that the woman reported her allegations to law enforcement in 2003.

Hayes said authorities did not gather enough evidence in their investigation into the alleged incident to charge Carter.

He claimed that the woman accusing Carter is “repeating the same false accusations in a new lawsuit” and that this “doesn’t make them any more true.”

Carter was accused of sexual assault in separate lawsuits by two other women.

Carter was accused of sexual assault and battery in April by singer Melissa Schuman over an alleged 2002 incident in Santa Monica, California.

According to legal documents reviewed by TMZ, Carter was accused by Schuman, 38, of forcing her to perform oral sex when he was 22 and she was 18.

Schuman said her first sexual experience was with Carter, the source reported, although she insisted to him that she didn’t want to have sex until she was married.

The lawsuit against the Backstreet Boys member came more than five years after Schuman, a former member of the group Dream, filed a complaint against Carter with the Santa Monica Police Department, but prosecutors did not pursue the case at the time.

When Schuman filed the lawsuit earlier this year, she pointed to a new bill in California that allows the statute of limitations on civil lawsuits to be lifted, as she hopes the information in the case will be reviewed by a judge.

Carter has denied all allegations made by Schuman.

In February, Carter named Schuman in a $2.3 million lawsuit against Shannon Ruth, who has also accused Carter of sexual assault, TMZ reported.

In the lawsuit filed by Carter, the boy band alum said Schuman coached Ruth in an extortion attempt that he said cost him millions in lost wages.

His attorney, Liane K. Wakayama, told TMZ in a statement about the legal action: “Melissa Schuman has been spreading this story for many years, but her claim was false when she first broke it in 2017 – and it still is.”

Wakayama told the outlet that “a Nevada judge recently determined, after reviewing the extensive evidence we presented, that there are strong grounds for Nick Carter to continue his lawsuit against Ms. Schuman for conspiracy to harm, defame and extort.” Nick’s co-workers, his friends and his family.’

Carter’s attorney said Schuman’s latest legal action related to the alleged attack was “at once predictable and pathetic” given the continued progress in litigation in Nevada.

She called Schuman’s latest filing a “PR stunt” and vowed that it would not distract the singer from his determination to hold Ms. Schuman and her co-conspirators accountable for the untold pain and suffering their extortionate behavior caused.

Ruth, who said she is autistic and has cerebral palsy, filed suit in December 2022, claiming Carter drunk and sexually assaulted her on a tour bus in 2001, when she was 17.

Carter said in legal documents reviewed by TMZ in March that he had 12 witnesses present the night of the concert who could prove that Ruth’s claims were “factually impossible.”
