The “Backstreet Boys” star is suing six people who have accused him of sexual assault, according to documents obtained by The Blast. He claimed they tried to extort money from him.

In 2002, Nick Carter was accused of attacking a woman named Shannon Ruth on a bus when she was 17 years old. She was one of many people who claimed the musician abused her when she was a minor. She filed a sexual assault complaint against him at the end of 2022.

Last year, the artist was sued for alleged sexual assault and assault by singer Melissa Schuman, as well as alleged sexual assault by a woman who identified herself as AR.

Nick Carter, now 43, has denied all allegations. And he responds through legal channels. Legal documents say he wanted to clear his name and that the alleged victims would have to pay for their charges.

“The prosecution of Ruth and AR is the culmination of an approximately five-year conspiracy orchestrated by the co-conspirators to harass, defame and extort Carter. “The campaign was created and supported by the #MeToo movement,” the complaint states.

Nick Carter is seeking $2.3 million in damages for emotional distress and legal fees.
