Nicki Minaj offers college help to 14-year-old who killed man to defend his mother – TMZ

Nicky Minaj is completely in the corner of the 14-year-old from Chicago who shot a man protecting his mother while she was being attacked and said she was willing to help him go to college.

The rapper chimed in on the viral case, which has sparked a lot of discussion around the internet for the past week or so. She’s reached out to IG to discuss the matter and it’s clear she believes the 14-year-old and his mum have done absolutely nothing wrong here…even if it cost a life.

Nicki passionately writes, “This 14-year-old boy who supported that hammer when that grown-up ass slapped his mother’s face like she was a MAN is a true hero.”

She continues… “If he wants to go to college, I’d be happy to help. EVERY son should have done that for his MOTHER. She raised a great kid and should be so proud. Besides, God knew she knew she was going to be attacked that day and made sure they had cover on DECK.

NM ends with a simple message: “God is GOOD.” Now to her offer of help to higher education – she didn’t really elaborate on that… but you have to imagine that this is about cash. When the child sees this, it will be interesting to see if they respond.

As for the case itself… he’s a sucker. Carlishia Hood and her son have been charged with first-degree murder after the teenager shot dead the 32-year-old Jeremy Brown on June 18 at a restaurant…after an argument broke out inside and Brown was filmed repeatedly slapping Hood on the head.

Just as he is lamenting her, her son enters the restaurant from outside and opens fire on Brown. Police say Brown fled, but claim Hood ordered her son to stop work and keep shooting him outside… which he did. Brown died from gunshot wounds.

Amid much uproar, Cook County prosecutors dropped all charges against the mother and son… reasoning they had insufficient evidence to pursue a criminal prosecution. Since then, Hood has sued the city of Chicago and a few cops too… claiming she was wrongly arrested/charged – and that the whole ordeal caused great emotional distress.

Her legal team has repeated what many others have argued — that the use of deadly force was warranted here and that Hood and her son were merely defending themselves.

Others argued the teenager went too far by continuing to shoot the man after the threat was neutralized at the restaurant. Some feel that after he crossed the finish line, he went out to fire more shots at his mother’s request. However, Nicki is clearly not in that camp.
