Nicole Richie and her younger sister Sofia Richie enjoyed a day out in Santa Barbara on Sunday.
The two siblings were spotted enjoying the afternoon sun and getting some fresh air while riding electric bikes.
The close sisters are daughters of successful musician Lionel Richie. Nicole, 40, was adopted by the singer and his first wife, Brenda Harvey, when she was 9 years old. Model Sofia, 23, is his biological daughter.

Both sisters kept their looks casual and comfortable for their afternoon bike ride.
Nicole, driving ahead of her younger sister, donned a black sweater with white stripes. The top was long sleeved in case the weather got a little chilly later in the day.
The Simple Life star added a pair of black leggings for easy pedaling on the bike. The mother-of-two added black socks and trainers.
To complete her look, Nicole added a black cap and sunglasses to protect her eyes from the bright sun.

Sofia, too, kept her ensemble simple and chic. The model wore dark blue leggings with a black tank top which she covered with a black zipped jacket.
She slipped into a pair of white Nike sneakers to make cycling easy and comfortable.
The beauty parted her hair down the middle and tossed her tresses in a bun secured with a large clip.
She also donned a pair of stylish shades as they spent the hot day under the sun.

Both Nicole and Sofia are virgins, and during a joint interview, which the singer posted to her Facebook page, the siblings weighed in on each other’s favorite traits.
Speaking about her older sister, Sofia said, “What I like most about my sister is that she is the easiest person to talk to and she gives the best advice.”
Nicole added how much she enjoys spending time with Sofia. “She’s my favorite person to laugh with, which is the greatest compliment because my priority every single day is laughing.”

Later during the interview, Nicole added that the two “love spending time together, we love collaborating and we all love being creative.”
Last year in 2021 both sisters got together and collaborated to create a clothing line for Nicole’s company House of Harlow 1960.
The idea of creating a collection together came about during the pandemic. “…We just talked about our individual hopes and dreams and what we wanted to do and do,” the Making The Cut star told WWD.
The reality star is very supportive of her younger sister and had a hilarious reaction when Sofia got engaged to Elliot Grainge earlier in April this year.
Alongside a photo of the pair posing together and Sofia flashing her new engagement ring, Nicole captioned it: “I can’t wait to find ways to do this about myself.”
