Nigella Lawson is leaving My Kitchen Rules after just one season on the revamped version of the Channel Seven cooking show
She was the big star in last season’s revamped My Kitchen Rules.
But despite her popularity on Channel Seven’s cook-off, Nigella Lawson is apparently leaving the show.
According to the Herald Sun, the famous TV chef and author will not appear on the reality series again this year.
Nigella Lawson is reportedly leaving Channel Seven’s “My Kitchen Rules” after just one season
Neither Seven nor Nigella have made an official announcement yet.
It comes after the glamorous Lawson featured heavily in the run-up to MKR’s reboot last August.
She replaced controversial judge Pete Evans for the first part of the series and fans said her appointment was a “massive upgrade”.
The British food writer made his debut as a judge alongside Manu Feildel at the MKR premiere on August 7 and was incredibly well received by viewers.
However, Lawson had left the series by August 16 after judging the first group, stepping in for Matt Preston to co-host alongside Manu for the remainder of the season.
Later, Gary Mehigan and Colin Fassnidge were added to the cast as guest judges.

Nigella previously spoke about her excitement at being on the show.
“When you think about the food you love, it’s almost always home cooking,” she said last year.
“I’m a homemaker and it’s the food I want to eat. I’ve traveled 17,000km to find Australia’s finest home cooking.”
During the season, Matt Preston appeared on Fitzy & Wippa and revealed some surprising quirks about his co-star.
The British food writer joined Manu for the first time as a judge at the premiere of the reboot on Sunday 7 August and she was incredibly well received by viewers
“Nigella is like the younger sister you love but she’s a little annoying sometimes, she likes it when you get banged a little bit. That’s why I love working with her,” revealed Matt, 60. “She’s mischievous.”
MKR was once a ratings juggernaut for Seven, but its popularity has plummeted in recent years as viewers flocked to Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight instead.
The 2022 MKR grand finale was a ratings hit despite less-than-impressive viewership across the season’s 15 episodes.
Janelle and Monzir won the grand finale and scooped $100,000 in prize money.
The thrilling final 15 minutes before the announcement of their victory drew an average of 643,000 viewers on the subway, while the previous 67 minutes attracted 528,000 viewers across the country.
My Kitchen Rules season 2023 casting is currently open.
