“You’re telling me I’m past my prime…Hold my beer and watch”: Nikki Haley says liberals like Don Lemon and the MSNBC commentators take racist and sexist slaps because she poses a threat to HER

  • “I’m the biggest threat liberals have ever faced,” Haley told Fox News
  • She called for mental competency tests for politicians over 75
  • Lemon apologized and gets trained after commenting “is past her prime”.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley won’t take any comments that she’s past her “best days” — telling a Fox News interviewer, “Hold my beer,” while discussing TV commentary that slandered her.

Haley began the saga when she announced her presidential campaign, saying she wanted politicians to take 75+ cognitive tests, in a blast at President Joe Biden, who she says is too old to run again.

That drew backlash from Democrats and the comment, which she immediately called “sexist,” from CNN host Don Lemon, who at 56 is five years older than Haley, that the candidate wasn’t at her “best.”

“It’s not a surprise. I’ve been doing this a long time, you read the polls, how I deal with independents and suburban women and all that. They know I’m the greatest threat liberals have ever seen and they’re scared of it,” she told Fox host Harris Faulkner, who asked her about it.

Her response came after Lemon, who has come under fire for his comments, withdrew from hosting a Black History Month event after it was revealed he will receive formal training for his comments.

Haley continued, “But what I’m going to tell you is, you want to tell me I’m past my prime, hold my beer and look at this, because I’m telling you where we’re going to take America.” change all that and they know how hard I’ll work and they know how tough I am. Bring it, we’re ready,’ she said.

Faulkner then brought up the age of Joe Biden’s son. “By the way, Hunter Biden is 53. I mean, the President is like an octogenarian,” she said.

Her remarks came on a day when former President Donald Trump echoed her suggestion, saying politicians should face both a cognitive test and a test of perseverance.

Following Haley’s original comment, Lemon said on-air that Haley should approach the subject cautiously because “a woman in her 20’s and 30’s and maybe 40’s is in her prime.”

Haley soon responded to Lemon’s comments, saying in a tweet with a clip of the video segment, “It’s always the liberals who are the most sexist.”

She continues to try to make hay out of the outrage. Her campaign markets a “Past My Prime” koozie that says “Hold My Beer” in red, white, and blue. Donors are encouraged to contribute up to $3,300.

She also tweeted about the merch. “For all of you who have dealt with the haters who say we’re past our prime…this is for you,” she wrote.

MSNBC commentator Wajahat Ali also sparked controversy. “I see Haley and I’m sad,” he said during a segment on Host Mehdi Hasan’s broadcast on MSNBC Sunday.

“She uses her brown skin as a weapon against poor black people and poor brown-black people,” he said.

He also called her a “brown-skinned alpha Karen” and the “perfect Manchurian candidate” for racists and white supremacists. He said he was “disgusted” by people like Haley who “know better.”

Haley is the daughter of Indian immigrants. She famously pushed for the removal of the Confederate flag that had formerly flown on the grounds of her state’s capital.

In the Fox interview, Faulkner asked her bluntly, “How do you beat Trump?

“You know I’m stepping forward. I’m talking about Joe Biden. I’m not worried about Trump,” she said.
