Federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL) criticized, through an indirect message on social media, the video in which the Son of a Supreme Court (STF) minister appears in designer clothes. Felipe Brandão, named after the son of Minister Benedito Gonçalves, is a fashion entrepreneur and appeared in a viral TikTok video in which he showcases clothing and jewelry brands that cost up to R$1 million.

“A mission given is a mission accomplished, but it pays off…” Nikolas wrote. The publication refers to a sentence said by Minister Benedito Gonçalves at President Lula's diplomacy ceremony in December 2022. When asked by the President of the TSE, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, to lead Lula to the diplomatic table, Benedito Gonçalves said: “Given.” “Mission is mission accomplished.” At the time, the press reported that the statement was a violation of ceremony protocol.

Benedito Gonçalves was the minister responsible for the report on the process that led to former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) being ineligible for eight years for abuse of political power and abuse of the media. He also served as a rapporteur in court cases that resulted in convictions for electoral gender quota fraud and chaired the TSE Commission for the Advancement of Racial Equality.

This Wednesday (10), a video spread on social media showing businessman Felipe Brandão, identified as the son of Minister Benedito Gonçalves, flaunting clothing and jewelry from designer brands at inflated prices. The post was created on TikTok and Instagram by fashion influencer Anthony Kruijver and has already garnered more than 3 million views.

To give you an idea of the high prices for used and on display items, the Richard Mille 011 watch is the highest of all. On the brand's website the price is only stated “on request”, but according to Anthony Kruijver the author of the video it would cost around 200,000 euros (around R$1.2 million). Another item with a price that attracts attention is the Air Force Nike sneaker launched in collaboration with Louis Vuitton: it costs between R$30,000 and R$68,000 depending on the store.
