According to Ukrainian sources, at least nine people were killed today in Russian attacks on Ukraine. According to Governor Oleh Synegubow, six people died in a bomb attack in Kupyansk, in the northeast of the country. According to authorities, a police officer and a civilian were killed in an attack on a bus in Kherson.
As Synegubow announced via Telegram, the victims in Kupyansk were four men and two women. Rescue teams are looking for additional possible victims, the governor said.
One dead in Lviv
According to authorities, one person died in a nighttime drone attack in Lviv, in the west of the country. According to Governor Maxym Kosyzky, several warehouses were hit and caught fire. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA), a warehouse belonging to the humanitarian organization Caritas-Spes containing 300 tons of relief supplies was burned to the ground.
OCHA coordinator Denise Brown strongly condemned the attack. She criticized the rise in attacks on humanitarian aid supplies in recent months. This has an impact on people “who suffer the terrible consequences of war”.
According to the Ukrainian army, Russia shot down 30 combat drones over Ukrainian territory overnight alone, 27 of which were intercepted.
