No Doubt’s Tony Kanal issued a restraining order on the intruder ‘who believes Heath Ledger is alive’

No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal issued a restraining order to the intruder “who believes Heath Ledger is alive and living on his property.”

  • The 51-year-old musician sought an injunction against a man named George Leonardopoulos, who he alleges terrorized his family for several months
  • There was an incident last week in which Leonardopoulos came to her front gate and the intercom buzzed to tell Kanal’s wife Erin Lokitz that he used to live there with former owner of property actor Heath Ledger
  • Gwen Stefani’s bandmate said in the documents that he bought the home from Ledger in 2005 before the actor’s death in 2008
  • Leonardopoulos apparently lived in the house and strangely told them he believes Ledger still lives on the premises
  • As if that wasn’t bizarre enough, Leonardopoulos claimed it was vitally important to be allowed into her garage so he could “wake up” Heath
  • He apparently told them if “you know what’s good for you, you would let me in,” according to the legal documents
  • Kanal claims Leonardopoulos has been making unannounced and unwanted visits to his home since late January, even jumping over the gate
  • Ledger was found dead on January 22, 2008 at the age of 28 when an autopsy later found he had died “as a result of acute poisoning”.

No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal has been granted a restraining order over a man who trespassed on his property, allegedly believing Heath Ledger is alive and living there.

The 51-year-old musician sought an injunction against a man named George Leonardopoulos, who he alleges terrorized his family with impromptu visits to his Los Angeles-area home in recent months, according to documents leaked on Sept received Monday from TMZ.

Perhaps most alarming was an incident last week in which Leonardopoulos came to her front gate and the intercom buzzed to tell Kanal’s wife Erin Lokitz that he used to live there with real estate actor Heath Ledger’s former owner.

Kanal claims Leonardopoulos has been making unannounced and unwelcome visits to his home since late January, even jumping over the gate on one occasion.

The bassist and his wife also say they saw the suspect with a large stick and a knife and that they have called law enforcement about him in the past.

A judge signed an injunction Friday that will go into effect pending a hearing later this month.

As a result, Leonardopoulos must remain 100 meters from the Kanal family and their property until a judge makes a final decision.

Perhaps the strangest coincidence is that today, April 4th, would have been Ledger’s 43rd birthday.

The Oscar-winning A Dark Knight star was found dead on January 22, 2008 at the age of 28 when an autopsy later revealed that he was “successful as a result of acute intoxication from the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam , alprazolam and doxylamine had died.’
