No Limite’s Matheus Pires is diagnosed with monkeypox

Former No Limite competitor Matheus Pires was diagnosed with monkeypox (monkeypox, in English) this Wednesday (6/7) when he started showing symptoms of the disease and had to be hospitalized. Monkeypox cases have increased in recent hours

Brazilian health authorities have confirmed 36 new cases in the past few hours. A total of 142 cases of the viral disease caused by the hMPXV virus (acronym for Human Monkeypox Virus) were recorded.

According to the Ministry of Health in the state of São Paulo, most cases have been confirmed, a total of 98 people infected. Next is Rio de Janeiro with 28 cases of the disease, Minas Gerais (eight), Ceará (two), Paraná (two), Rio Grande do Sul (two), Federal District (one) and Rio Grande do Norte (one).
