Noah Hawley’s Alien series on FX has added six new additions to its core cast, Variety has learned exclusively.
Babou Ceesay (“Guerrilla,” “Damilola”), Jonathan Ajayi (“Wonder Woman 1984,” “Noughts and Crosses”), Erana James (“Uproar,” “The Wilds”), Lily Newmark (“Pin Cushion,” “ Sex Education), Diêm Camille (Washington Black, Alex Rider 3) and Adrian Edmondson (War & Peace, A Spy Among Friends) have all been cast in the series.
They join previously announced cast members Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Samuel Blenkin and Adarsh Gourav.
Plot and character details of the project, which was first announced in December 2020, are being kept top secret. The only detail that has been confirmed is that the show will take place on Earth in the not-too-distant future.
The scripts for the series were completed before the recent writers’ strike and production of the series in Thailand began in July after the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike with the British cast members being members of the British entertainment union Equity. Production was ultimately put on hold but is scheduled to resume in early 2024.
Ceesay is represented by The Artists Partnership, Entertainment 360 and Granderson Des Rochers, LLP. Ajayi is repped by The Artists Partnership, Range Media Partners and Felker Toczek. James is represented by RGM Artists, Anonymous Content and Sloane Offer. Newmark is represented by Insight Management & Production, Stride Management and Yorn Levine Barnes Krintzman. Camille is repped by Thrive Talent, Team Players and Myman Greenspan. Edmondson is represented by United Agents and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
