135 pounds: Terrence Mitchell vs. Raul Rosas Jr.

Round 1: Early combo from Rosas, who goes wild and sniffs bombs. Mitchell adjusted his energy and tried to open up with his own big swings. Rosas blocks a level change, misses a long right punch and then knocks Mitchell down with a monster left hand. Mitchell wakes up on the way down, but it’s probably worse for him in the long run as Rosas jumps on him and immediately goes backwards before unloading to the finish.

Final result: Rosas defeated. Mitchell by TKO (punches)

155 pounds: Christos Giagos vs. Daniel Zellhuber

Round 1: Solid straight right from Giagos. Zellhuber moves forward patiently. Left hook from Giagos after a minute, then 3:2. Good right hand and Zellhuber is injured. Massive ruckus from Giagos as he chases Zellhuber through the cage, but Zellhuber somehow manages to get through it, so Giagos takes his foot off the gas and they back up to distance. Body kick from Zellhuber, then a few more kicks two minutes later. Fierce exchange of blows. Giago’s low kick. A big counter uppercut lands on Zellhuber, who fends off a double leg. Two more minutes.

Giago’s body kick, then a low kick. Zellhuber’s low kick is cracked to make it 3:2. His lack of head movement is really bothering him at the moment. Just a minute. Zellhuber pushes past Giagos to the right and comes back with a big ruckus that causes Giagos to shoot. No dice. 10-9 Giagos.

Round 2: Giagos counters a body strike with a straight right. Heavy right hands from Giagos as Zellhuber tries to tie up the ball. Both land clean rights, Zellhuber low kick. After a minute, Zellhuber hits with a lead to the right and follows up with a combo. Good uppercut that catches Giagos as he throws. Giagos goes deep with a single leg and fights like hell for it, but Zellhuber finds the underhook and reverses it. They separate after two minutes. Low kick exchange. Zellhuber engraving. Giago’s 1-2. Two minutes before the end a long hook from Giagos.

Zellhuber catches him with a one-two that forces Giagos to shoot, and this time he’s ready with an anaconda choke. A quick throw and the starting signal for the comeback submission is given.

145 pounds: Fernando Padilla vs. Kyle Nelson

Round 1: Padilla keeps Nelson at bay with kicks and jabs. A nice low kick from Nelson sends him spinning. More front kicks from Padilla. A minute later. Short left from Padilla and Nelson spins him with another low kick. Padilla advanced steadily, trying to get around the guard. Both land jabs, hard calf kick from Nelson. Padilla fends him off with a combo two minutes later and receives another counterattack. Nelson low kick, Padilla 1-2. Padilla’s front kick lands in the groin and they pause for a few seconds so Nelson can adjust his equipment. Padilla checks a kick with two minutes left.

Nelson fires off some overhand rights and Padilla responds by hitting home a series of elbows from the single-collar tie. Nelson body kick. Again. Just a minute. Nelson shoots and is rebuffed. Padilla lands a counter two-piece. Nice combination against the fence. Nelson comes back with a body kick. 10-9 Padilla.

Round 2: Padilla does good work with front kicks to the body and legs. As I type this, Nelson cracks him with a 1-2, then a clean head kick that leaves Padilla reeling. They strike and Nelson follows with another head kick. Padilla sniffs past a kick and hits a counter after a minute. Anotehr’s overhand right next to Nelson lands cleanly. Padilla continues to shuffle forward. Body shot, front kick downwards. Left hook from Nelson, low kick behind it. Flying knee from Padilla in return. Two minutes later. Nelson goes overhand again after eating a body kick. The headbutt goes just wide. Low kick connects. Two more minutes.

Glancing hook from Nelson, going down. Padilla is still pushing forward and not throwing much. Nelson answers an oblique kick with an overhand, but leans into an uppercut in combination. Just a minute. Padilla catches a headbutt and puts him on the fence. Nelson quickly gets a double underhook and breaks it up. Solid low kick. 10-9 Nelson.

Round 3: Low kick from Nelson to start. Four parts as he progresses. The headbutt bounces away. Hard low kicks from Padilla. After a minute, Nelson lands a pair of overhand rights. Padilla tries a high knee and his foot catches Nelson’s groin. Nelson lands a body kick as they continue and eats one in return. Padilla counters to the right while throwing a body kick. Two minutes later. Double jab, front kick. Nelson shoots and is rebuffed. Padilla tries a combo that bounces off the defense. Headbutt attempt. Against the right wing. Two more minutes.

Nelson blocks him with an overhand right. Low kick is performed by a Padilla with the right hand. Low-high left hook. Low kick and jab. Padilla goes forward. Just a minute. Nelson photographs and circles. Teep from Padilla. Nelson shoots and is rebuffed. Padilla lands some knees and tries to punch but then denies a takedown. 10-9 Nelson.

Final result: Nelson defeated. Padilla by unanimous vote

115 pounds: Loopy Godinez vs. Elise Reed

Round 1: Solid 3:2 from Godinez. Reed avoids the initial confrontation, but Godinez gets his hands on her and locks in a body lock. A trip outside puts her at the top a minute later. Half protection for “Loopy”. Reed works his way up and separates. Left hook from Godinez. Shortly after, she lands another punch that sends Reed to the mat. Godinez jumps on her and immediately slips into both hooks as she looks for the RNC. Two more minutes.

Reed fought the hands well enough to survive. With the choke out, Godinez switches to an armbar. Impressive flexibility from Reed to survive with a minute left. Reed tries to break Godinez’s grip with her legs while Godinez twists her arm in awkward directions. Somehow she manages to shift into top guard where Godinez threatens a triangle attack before applying the armbar again. Reed tries to fight his way out and manages to get enough room to survive the round. 10-8 Godinez.

Round 2: Reed starts the round aggressively and tries a flying knee. Body kick lands for her, then a head-arm throw that looks good at first but allows Godinez to get into top guard. After a minute, Godinez leaves her standing, hits her with another left hook, then puts her back in half defense. Two minutes later, Godinez lets her go again and immediately hurts her again with a nasty roll, then slams her back to the mat. Headlock on the way up, good knee. She trips Reed again and looks for a mount with two minutes left.

Back control for Godinez against the fence. She quickly puts her arm under her chin and there’s the tap to crown a dominant performance.

Final result: Godinez defeated. Reed by submission (rear naked choke)

185 pounds: Josh Fremd vs. Roman Kopylov

Round 1: Trade of kicks begins in the center cage. Both attack the legs, Fremd also looks for body strikes. A minute later. Lead to the left by Kopylov. Another one around the guard. Fremd lands a low blow, Kopylov insists he’s fine. Body shot from Kopylov, clinch knee from Fremd two minutes later. Heavy body strike from Kopylov. Fremd selects his shots. Kopylov 1-2. Two more minutes.

Fremd has a lot to do, but the more devastating blows come from Kopylov. Low kicks from both. Fremd shoots, falls awkwardly, but drives through to put Kopylov against the fence. They separate with a minute to go. Direct right from Fremd, short right kick from Kopylov in return. Kopylov body kick. Fremd shoots again, no dice. Kopylov hits him with a clean, spinning back fist before the bell that appears to damage Fremd’s nose. 10-9 Kopylov.

Round 2: About 20 seconds later, Kopylov lands another huge left hand punch. Fremd breathes through his mouth as blood pours from his nose. He shoots, not even a minute later. Heavy volley from Kopylov. Fremd puts together a solid combo and shoots. Kopylov deals damage while defending and manages to get separation. The headbutt tears Fremd through the defense. Kopylov stays patient and lands another combo two minutes later. Sharp left from Kopylov. Fremd tries a flying knee and clamps the cup with his foot. Solid low kick going forward. Kopylov responds with a long combo. Two more minutes.

Stranger who tries to wade in eats a torrent of water into the body. Kopylov still looks very fresh and remains patient. Counter uppercut one minute before the end. Hard body kick, head kick behind it. Kopylov slowly marches behind Fremd, leans forward and tears a lead to the left directly into the liver, which brings Fremd to his knees at the finish.

Final result: Kopylov defeated. Stranger by TKO (body blow)

125 pounds: Edgar Chairez vs. Daniel Lacerda

Round 1: Chairez takes the middle, firing a jab and going to work with low kicks. Lacerda tries a headbutt. A minute later. Lacerda whiffs on a quick wheel kick. Surprisingly cautious so far; Mostly land leg kicks from Chairez. Body shots from Chairez two minutes later. Lacerda shoots and completes a double shot to defend. Elbow from Lacerda, nice punches with two minutes left.

Chairez gets some room to stand and Lacerda shoots back. This time Chairez is ready with a standing anaconda choke. Lacerda’s arm appears to be limp for a moment, but the referee proves too eager to shoot, as Lacerda is awake and protests as the referee breaks them apart. Let’s see what they call it.

Final result: No decision (early interruption)

125 pounds: Tracy Cortez vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius

Round 1: Early counterattack from the right by Jasudavicius. Again Cortez leads with naked kicks. Sharp combination from Cortez and after a minute they exchange calf kicks. Cortez prepares a few good attacks. Calf kick from Jasudavicius in return. Jasudavicius consistently counters Cortez’s naked low kicks. Another clean switch on the right. Two minutes later, Cortez body kicks and jabs. A nasty combo from Cortez seems to rattle Jasudavicius, who comes back with strikes of her own. Direct punches land on Jasudavicius, who tries a knee to the inside. Cortez right hand with two minutes left.

Jasudavicius lands to the body and hits a hard straight right in return. Clean left hook from Cortez, 1-2 from Jasudavicius. Jasudavicius shoots, avoids a ninja choke and eats his knees on the exit. Just a minute. 1-2-3 from Cortez, Jasudavicius still trying to bring them down. Jasudavicius ties up and they trade knees downstairs. Headbutt blocked at the exit. Nice 2-3 from Cortez, then a strong combo as Jasudavicius stands on one leg. 10-9 Cortez.

Round 2: Cortez lets go of her hands in the first few seconds. Trade low kicks. Clinch, both knees land. Right hand to the knee from Cortez. After a minute. Clean left hook. Jasudavicius passes through and continues to try to apply pressure, with mixed success. Sharp counterattacks land for Cortez. Jasudavicius shoots, blocked. Cortez lands lots of clean punches on the back foot. Jasudavicius moves forward and lands a head kick. Two minutes later, Cortez nails a combination and Jasudavicius shoots under it to push her against the fence. Cortez quickly fights back up, Jasudavicius holds the body tight. Two more minutes.

Cortez turns to face her, but Jasudavicius pushes her back into half guard. Looking for the back. Cortez gets back up with a minute left. 30 seconds later they separate. Cortez manages a few more clean shots before the bell. 10-9 Cortez.

Round 3: More boxing successes for Cortez. Jasudavicius shoots, finds the bodylock and tries to push Cortez to the mat against the fence. Cortez defends a minute later. 30 seconds later they separate. Direct lead by Cortez, low kick, 1:2, which throws Jasudavicius back. Heavy blows hit her. Two minutes later, Jasudavicius penetrates further and exchanges hands. Cortez attacks her but is pushed to the fence where Jasudavicius fires off knees. Separation. Two more minutes.

Cortez lands some heavy punches as Jasudavicius pursues him. Jasudavicius manages to get through it and do damage in the clinch with knees and elbows before exiting with a head kick. They insult each other for a while, then shoot each other up again with clean headshots. Just a minute. Cortez counters a level change with a whizzer and separates. Jasudavicius pursues her until the last second when Cortez gets a body lock and tries to take her down. 10-9 Cortez.

Final result: Cortez defeated. Jasudavicius by unanimous decision

155 pounds: Alex Reyes vs. Charlie Campbell

Round 1: Reyes catches a body kick and tries to throw out Campbell’s base, causing a stumble. Low kick from Campbell as he attacks again. Reyes kick goes too low, Campbell blocks it. After a minute, Campbell’s front kick arrives, Reyes comes back with a leg kick. Retail comes into the middle. Campbells seem to be heavier, especially on the leg. Reyes catches a low kick and Campbell takes the opportunity to hit him with a right hand on one leg. He follows with a barrage that forces Reyes to retreat completely and then drops him against the fence. Reyes pops up again, but Campbell attacks two minutes later. Stiff shocks. Straight to the right, the defense splits and Campbell lands a series of powerful punches as Reyes tries to fire back. Reyes gets stuck after a low kick and is hit by a spinning elbow with two minutes left.

Reyes still tries to fight back, but there is nothing against her. Cross Counter hurts him a lot. Campbell chases him along the fence. The writing is on the wall, and after fending off a counter right, Campbell finally knocks him down with a two-piece combo.

Final result: Campbell def. Reyes by TKO (punches) – VIEW HIGHLIGHTS!

115 pounds: Josefine Knutsson vs. Marnic Mann

Round 1: Front kick to make it 2-1 by Knutsson at the start. Hard low kick, then a heavy knee strike as Mann tries to tie him up. Knutsson follows with a grounded knee to the body, trying to do damage while Mann clings to a leg and tries to drive. After a minute they separate. The left hook lands on Knutsson. Body kick, knees up. 1-2. Mann botches a head-arm throw and lands on her back half-covered. Two minutes later. Knutsson remains strong and doesn’t do much from above. Two more minutes.

Short shots of Knutsson. The referee wants more and Knutsson obliges by moving to side control. Just a minute. Now full mount after threatening the other wrist. Mann tries to buck as Knutsson sneaks in elbows. Knutsson stands up and tries to unload at the bell. So far it’s been one-way traffic for Knutsson. 10-9 Knutsson.

Round 2: Low kicks from Knutsson. Man catches a body kick and throws her onto the fence. Knutsson lands with knees, turns and separates the ball. A minute later another heavy knee follows. Knutsson leads Mann down and tries to find their seats. Teep to knock Superman into the clinch. More knees from Knutsson. Two minutes later. Dirty boxing. Mann tries a side kick as she separates and hits hard to get her in trouble. Then he beckons Knutsson to continue the fight with two minutes left.

Shooting practice for Knutsson against the fence. Back to the clinch. Knees, elbows. Just a minute. Knutsson trips over her, leaving her half unprepared. Knutsson steps up again in the last 10 seconds and fires until the bell rings. 10-8 Knutsson.

Round 3: Knutsson lands an early sidekick, avoids a lazy spin and lands a spin-back fist of his own. Sharp boxing combinations. Man hits the fence with his flat foot and is hit by a four-pointer. She falters, but Knutsson recovers after landing a knee strike to the body a minute later. Another simple foray into half defense. Man offers nothing from her back. Two minutes later, Knutsson prepares for some bigger throws, landing a knee strike on the way up before plunging Mann back into half-defense with two minutes left.

Knutsson continues to play at the top. The referee wants more action with a minute to go. Solid punches and elbows. Knutsson fires off a knee strike as Mann tries to get up, then grabs an RNC at the bell. 10-9 Knutsson.

Final result: Knutsson defeated. man by unanimous decision
