Noel Gallagher ‘shows no sign he’s healed his decades-long rift with brother Liam as he enjoys nights with the Oasis star’s nemesis’

Noel Gallagher is showing no signs of breaking up with his brother Liam as he has reportedly struck up a surprising friendship with Peter Kay.

The former Oasis singer, 55, has reportedly befriended the comedian, 49, who famously dubbed Liam, 50, a “k**bhead” at the 2010 BRIT Awards.

After attending the prankster’s last Manchester performance, it was claimed Noel hit it off with Liam’s nemesis Peter after they met backstage.

A source told The Sun: “Noel went to Peter’s gig in Manchester last week and they met backstage and hit it off like a house on fire.

“They spent time together after the show and it was a great laugh. Peter is a big fan of Noel and it was a pleasure to welcome him.

Peter’s feud with Liam stems from an encounter on stage at the BRITs.

The Oasis star took the gong for best album of 30 years for the 1995 album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? hand and cursed himself through his acceptance speech before tossing his microphone and award into the audience.

In his acceptance speech, the frontman thanked the early members of the band, with the exception of older brother Noel, who left the group the previous summer.

Arriving alone on stage, he yelled into the microphone, “Listen kids. I want to thank Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan White. The best band in the damn world. Live forever.’

After throwing his mic and prize into the crowd and sulking offstage, Peter remarked, “What an a**bhead.”

An irate Liam later tweeted: “Listen fat shit, as a true Northerner I was raised to s**t 2 people in the face not behind their back. Live forever LG.’

Peter wrote on his website the next day: “So it was the Brits last night and I was honored to be asked to host the show, especially as it is 30 years old.

“Congratulations to all the winners including Noel Gallagher who sadly went uncredited (and luckily isn’t ak***head).”

More recently, Liam proved the argument was still ongoing when asked if he would attend one of Peter’s comeback gigs, saying: “F*** him the balloon knot.”
