The bizarre moment a cyclist vented his anger at a pro-Trump billboard in North Carolina was caught on camera.
John Kane, a Raleigh businessman and local Republican political activist, posted home surveillance video of the incident on the social media page X On Friday, he offered a $1,000 reward for identifying the perpetrator.
The video shows a road cyclist, fully kitted out in a helmet and spandex, pulling up outside Kane’s house on August 12 and weakly kicking the sign, to no avail.
Then, in the early hours of August 15, the camera again sees a man who appears to be the same person and wearing similar cycling gear setting fire to the sign that reads “Trump Won.”
Attorney James R. Lawrence III, a partner at Envisiage Law, said he represents Kane, who plans to sue the arsonist once he is identified.

Kane is a conservative activist in North Carolina and recently ran for the presidency of the state’s GOP party.
He was defeated by incumbent chairman Michael Whatley at the state Republican Party convention in June.
However, according to the Carolina Journal, several delegates supporting Kane filed lawsuits challenging the findings.
The lawsuit argued that a mobile app used in the voting process violated party rules. The current status of the lawsuit was initially unclear.
