North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell is one of the best players in his position in the upcoming NFL 2022 draft, but during a recent interview at the Scout Factory, Howell had an interesting request from the Philadelphia Eagles that had nothing to do with football.

Howell was reportedly asked to shoot a basketball in a mini hoop. On Wednesday, he jokingly said he was probably off board the Eagles after making just two of five strikes. It is known that the Eagles set potential prospects through unique games, including last year, when they set the prospects through a game of stone, paper, scissors to assess their competitiveness.
Howell did not provide any details on the size of the basketball or hoop.
Howell, who could potentially enter the first round of the draft, threw 92 touchdowns and 23 interceptions in three seasons in North Carolina. The Pittsburgh Steelers may be interested in Howell’s services, especially after longtime QB Ben Rothlisberger retired after the 2021 NFL season.
Matt Coral of Ole Miss, Kenny Pickett of Pittsburgh and Malik Willis of Liberty are the other quarterbacks who can go to the first round of the draft. None of the QBs stand out as a potential player changing the franchise, but if they get into the right situation, there is certainly potential.

The Eagles have a choice of 19, but are unlikely to take Howell or any of the other defenders because they are committed to former Oklahoma product Jalen Herts, whom they consider a quarterback franchise.
