North Korea conducts military exercise to simulate nuclear attack on South Korea G1

North Korea conducted a military exercise in which it simulated what a nuclear attack on targets in South Korea would look like and devastate the enemy country, state media reported.

The simulation came in response to exercises recently conducted by the US and South Korean militaries according to the North Koreans, their enemies also simulated a nuclear attack. The US exercises lasted 11 days.

In its simulation, North Korea fired two missiles and carried out a “nuclear attack mission,” the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) said.

South Korea has determined that North Korea actually fired two shortrange missiles into the sea.

North Korean leader Kim Jongun said on Tuesday that the goal was to prepare the army for war against South Korea.

The exercise simulated repelling a sudden invasion and subsequent counterattack to occupy “the entire territory of the southern half,” the staterun KCNA report said.
