Not guilty: Joe Mixon boycotts the media

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon was found not guilty in an enhanced threat trial last week, but the 27-year-old has yet to face the case.

That win could have allowed the club and the 27-year-old to progress. However, after the Bengals’ practice on Sunday, Mixon declined to speak to the media and then stated that he would not answer questions from reporters from ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Pro Football Network and Cincinnati.

The second-round pick of 2017 has not been discussed in the media since the end of last year. Mixon said the reporters’ behavior was “disrespectful.”

“You know very well how,” he said, according to ESPN.

The Bengals star’s legal troubles aren’t over yet. In fact, he’s also facing a civil lawsuit after a teenager, believed to be his neighbor, was shot and killed while playing with Nerf guns in Mixon’s backyard. It is important to note that the latter is not a suspect in the criminal proceedings.

During the 2022 season, he rushed for 814 yards and had seven rushing touchdowns.
