Find out how much clubs pay for each yellow card taken from one of their players.
Last weekend, the curtain rose on Liga 1 2023. Although only three games were played – and five walkovers due to the television rights issue – the first reprimands and exclusions from the tournament were already registered. Those benefit the most from this Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), because every card they take from a soccer player has an economic price. A total of 17 yellow cards and three red cards were drawn, according to the tournament regulations, the penalty for this must be borne by the clubs.
How much does each yellow card cost a club?
Pursuant to Article 171 of the League 1 2023 Regulations, “Fines”, the cost of each yellow card is set at 0.025% of the Unitary Unit (UIT). Put simply, each yellow card costs 123.75 soles. That is, to date, the FPF has insured 2,103.75 soles, with the 17 yellow cards issued to date.

Another no less detail is that yellow cards are collected only at each stage of the game League 1 2023. That is, the account resets when each new tournament starts (opening, closing, playoffs). However, the player or coaching staff suspended on the most recent date must complete their penalty date on the first day of the next tournament.
A valid clarification is that the footballer or technical command member who adds his fifth yellow card or is sent off for his team in the last game of the year must meet his sanction date of Day 1 of 1. Liga 2024.
