Sources confirmed this to La Presse. Last Thursday, the court issued an arrest warrant against the singer after he failed to show up for his performance. His lawyers had also admitted in the past that they had difficulty reaching him. A judge also issued an attendance order for his appearance last week.

Corneliu Munteanu, best known since his time at the Star Académie in 2004, is accused of drugging two people on two separate occasions, in 2013 and 2016.

More specifically, three years apart in 2013 and then in 2016, he is accused of administering or inducing the consumption of “a poison, a destructive substance” to his victims [ou] a harmful substance with the intent to harass or torment such person,” the indictment states.

The main suspect was the subject of an arrest warrant in Montreal on November 10, 2022 and was arrested a few days later, on November 14.

Let us also recall that, according to the Journal de Montréal, in July 2019 the trial against the singer for theft from a Canadian tire in Laval and conspiracy was dropped.
