TALLAHASSEE – of the state of Florida The spring game began with an unfavorable start for the offensive.
All three quarterbacks – Jordan Travis, Tate Rodemakerand AJ Duffy – All threw interceptions in about 10 total reps during two-point talk drills early in the scrimmage. Travis was picked up by CB Kevin Knowles IIRodemaker was intercepted by Freshman CB Sam McCalland Duffy’s pass was caught by a skilled linebacker Amari Gainer.
The offense was able to get into the end zone a few times as Travis struggled to score and TE delivered a high pass up Camren McDonald.
But the third score came at a price.
wide receiver Mycah Pittman took a tunnel screen for a score on a two-point conversion earlier in the day and dropped his shoulder to get into the end zone.
That physicality is one of the aspects that proved to be a strength of the Oregon transfer this spring. Unfortunately, the game also resulted in an injury.
Pittman came up after the touchdown and shook his arm. He went into the injury tent for about 10 minutes, then exited and went to the locker room, shaking his right arm.
