Nothing is a brand trying to succeed in the difficult smartphone market. After releasing two quite successful models, the manufacturer is also working on a device at a cheaper price in order to reach a wider audience. This is how we learn about a Nothing Phone (2a).
In order not to lose track, here is a brief summary of everything we know so far about the Nothing Phone (2a).
Why a Nothing Phone (2a)?
The Nothing Phone (2a) would be the third smartphone from the brand co-founded by Carl Pei (ex-OnePlus), after the Phone (1) and the Phone (2). A priori it could be summarized in a simple idea: do better than 1 and be cheaper than 2. How?
The solution would not be surprising: the Nothing Phone (2a) would make a few concessions here and there to reduce the price while ensuring a good user experience. Enough to recall the strategy that Google pursued with its Pixel A, which is cheaper than the flagship models – and which could also be a serious competitor to the phone (2a).
Design and technical data sheet of the Nothing Phone (2a)
Several pieces of information are already circulating on the Nothing Phone (2a). In terms of design, we can assume that the smartphone will have a transparent back. This is one of the hallmarks of the models already launched by the manufacturer.
Some design changes
However, we would find slightly fewer LEDs on the back. However, nothing continues to highlight its Glyph system, which, among other things, allows the personalization of light animations depending on incoming alerts and notifications.

The Nothing Phone (2a) would still benefit from the Glyph, but would be less ambitious. By integrating fewer LEDs, the brand should save money and thus be able to offer the smartphone at a more attractive price.
Another change should be noticeable on the back: the position of the cameras. The Nothing Phone (2a) would opt for a central positioning of its two photo sensors, while on the Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2) they were on the left on the back.

Some technical details
Also note that certain details regarding the technical data sheet of the Nothing Phone (2a) have also surfaced on the internet. So we would have to be prepared for a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The panel would be pierced with one blow.
Inside the smartphone is a Dimensity 7200 from MediaTek, a mid-range chip. On the photo side, the two sensors on the back would each have a resolution of 50 Mpx. The two modules would also be supplied by Samsung: S5KGN9 for the main sensor (1/1.5 inch and 1 µm pixels) and S5KJN1 for the ultra wide angle (1/2.76 inch and 0.64 µm pixels). For selfies, Sony would equip the hardware with a 32 Mpx IMX615 sensor.
