The Novoo 6-in-1 USB-C hub measures 11.6 x 3 cm and is just over 1 cm thick. In stick format, it easily finds its place in a carrying case with the laptop. The cable is almost 7.5 inches long, allowing enough flexibility to adjust it as needed.
The Novoo’s shell is metal with a similar finish to Apple’s MacBooks, although the grit is coarser. Only the ends fitted into this metal frame are made of plastic.
All ports are on one side of the hub, save for the HDMI port that perched on one end and the USB-C cable on the opposite side. There are three full-size USB ports according to the USB 3.0 standard and an SD and microSD card reader.
The three USB ports are USB 3.0 standard (5 Gb/s) and can theoretically reach 600 MB/s. As for the card reader, Novoo is very concise in terms of the performance it delivers, so there will be a surprise in the performance test… The HDMI connector is standard 1.4, which makes it possible to reach the 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, but only at 30 Hz. If this is enough to occasionally watch a movie for office use, these 30 Hz are way too much low to make them comfortable to use liquid. No problem in Full HD: The refresh rate of 60 Hz is well maintained.
The Novoo 6-in-1 hub doesn’t get overly hot at just over 33°C measured across its entire metal shell, which helps distribute heat evenly.
