NSYNC will release its first song in over 20 years later this month.
Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick hinted at a reunion at the MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday night (September 12, 2023) when they presented Taylor Swift with the award for Best Pop Song.
On Thursday morning, Universal bosses confirmed that the group had recorded a song for the animated film Trolls 3, a feature film starring Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, among others.
A sample of the new song, titled Better Place, appears in the latest trailer for the feature film. The song will be released on September 29th.
In the third part of “Trolls” we discover that Justin Timberlake’s character Branch was once part of the boy band BroZone with his four brothers. BroZone disbanded when Branch was a baby, and the siblings have since gone their separate ways.
While the members of the group NSYNC sing in Better Place, they do not play the boy band characters in the film. In the original version, these positions are occupied by Troye Sivan, Eric André, Daveed Diggs and Kid Cudi.
After weeks of reunion rumors, NSYNC surprised fans at the VMAs by presenting the Best Song Award.
