After 47 years of existence, the Denver Nuggets have finally won their first NBA championship. Numerous fans came to the traditional parade in the city center on Thursday.
It’s always a great time for fans to celebrate with their favourites. After the excitement surrounding the win against the Miami Heat on Monday, it seems that things are still not calming down in Denver.

Thousands of spectators gathered behind protective barriers to watch the parade of Nuggets members in fire engines and to hear slogans and speeches on stage. Head coach Michael Malone couldn’t hold back his tears as he spoke to reporters after watching the Colorado Avalanche parade through the same streets a year earlier.
“Jared Bednar, the Avalanche trainer, told me that [l’émotion] had also hit him during the parade. It means so much to me to celebrate with the fans. It’s an amazing experience. I knew – I had absolutely no doubt – that we would get here. […] Life is made up of a series of moments. What we have achieved after 47 years [me rend] I’m so happy for our players and our fans,” Malone said, continuing his tribute to the public.
“We have people who have supported us for 47 years. To those supporters, I want to say, “Thank you for your patience, thank you for your trust, and thank you for enjoying this journey, this process, because we couldn’t have done it without you.”

Of course, there is plenty of alcohol at this type of celebration. The specialist on the Nuggets side seems to be Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who enjoyed serving beers with the amateurs. “KCP” also paid tribute to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin by pounding on cans before emptying the contents down his throat.
Professional wrestling is clearly appreciated in the Denver locker room. Wearing the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) championship belt specially designed for the Nuggets, Christian Braun spat out his brew Triple H style.
The whole thing was captured in a video where we hear the Ultimate Warrior theme song. A recurring theme you say?
Finals MVP Nikola Jokic appeared smiling with the Larry O’Brien trophy in the front of the bus. The Serb, who is looking forward to a vacation in his home country, contented himself with rather sober celebrations.
Jokic also found the Bill Russell trophy presented to the playoff MVP, just in time for the parade. On Wednesday, he confessed to losing the precious item after leaving it in the device manager’s office.
