The founder of Sorority Nutritionist, who uses the pseudonym @sorority.nutritionist, recently shared what you should add to your diet to lose weight.
“Instead of trying to eat less, I want you to eat more of these three foods here if your goal is weight loss.” [2024]“, she begins her video.

Hubert acknowledges that “you have to eat less than you burn to lose weight,” but explains that not all foods are created equal when eating in a calorie deficit.
“Eating less doesn’t help if you don’t know what to eat,” she says.
First, the nutritionist advises “eating more protein, especially at breakfast.”
She says you should eat at least 20 grams of protein with every meal.
“If you're not an egg girlie, you could eat high-protein Greek yogurt,” she suggests.
“You could make overnight oats.” Personally, I love using a vegan protein powder in mine. Whatever you like. It doesn't have to be eggs.'
Hubert also recommends adding more non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini.
“Everyone knows that vegetables are really nutritious, but specifically for fat loss and weight loss, non-starchy vegetables are offered in large quantities and low in calories,” she explains.
The weight loss expert notes that she likes to mix cauliflower rice with regular rice to create a larger portion without adding too many calories to her meal.
“The third thing you need to eat more of if you're serious about losing weight is more fiber,” she says.
Hubert recommends choosing “natural carbohydrate sources” such as oats, quinoa, rice, potatoes and beans.

“All of this has a lot of fiber in it, so it affects blood sugar, which is really good for your health, and helps you feel full,” she adds.
Hubert was open about her own struggles with losing weight, which began while she was still a student.
In a post shared on Instagram, she recalled gaining 20 pounds in college from eating pizza and drinking late into the night as a sorority girl.
She tried cutting out carbs and eating a vegetarian diet while also following restrictive diets to lose weight.
It wasn't until she got her master's degree in nutrition that she learned how to achieve sustainable weight loss. Since then, she has helped over 1,000 clients with their own transformations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
“No matter where you are, know that you CAN become hot, healthy, and confident—even if you doubt yourself today,” she writes. “If I can do it, so can you!”
