(ANSA) — WASHINGTON, JANUARY 2 — Trevor Bickford, the 19-year-old arrested for attacking three officers with a machete in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, traveled from his home in Maine to New York to investigate the Meet police in one act Islamic extremism. The New York Times writes it, quoting a senior law enforcement official.
The young man is accused of assault and attempted murder, according to the newspaper, but could also be charged with terrorism. (HAND).
