Geremias is concerned and says Luana has the eyes of the family. Liliana calls Marcos and says she wants to meet him. Lia says that Liliana is really pregnant. Léia tells Ralf that the search for Bruno is over. Rafaela asks Marcos about Liliana. Zé do Araguaia loses sight of Bruno. Luana insists that she wants to go back to camp. Liliana arrives and Marcos tells Lia to call Rafaela. Marcos introduces Rafaela as his bride. Zé do Araguaia comes back and Donana says she won’t make any food until he finds Bruno. Marcos receives information about Olavo’s body. He decides to go to Araguaia to help the forest workers. Luana hears Bruno’s news on the radio and decides not to return to camp. Lia talks to the pilot’s wife, Olavo. Luana says she feels Bruno will be found. Donana tells Marcos that everything is ready to continue the search. Léia talks to Lia and says that she will hope everything works out. Firefly, Saracura, and Lurdinha visit Lia. Suzane hears Ralf’s answering machine. She finds out that Ralf is dating other women and that her husband already knows about her betrayal with the scammer. Lia argues with Rafaela. Donana prays and only eats bread and drinks only water. Marcos suffers in the middle of the forest, but he doesn’t give up. Lia attends Olavo’s wake. The senator believes in miracles. Marcos finds a clue Bruno left. Marcos weeps desperately.
O Rei do Gado is a Brazilian telenovela produced by TV Globo. It aired from June 17, 1996 to February 14, 1997, replacing “The End of the World”. It was written by Benedito Ruy Barbosa in collaboration with Edmara Barbosa and Edilene Barbosa under the general direction of Luiz Fernando Carvalho. It was attended by Antônio Fagundes, Patrícia Pillar, Raul Cortez, Glória Pires, Fábio Assunção, Silvia Pfeifer, Carlos Vereza and Stênio Garcia.

Wednesday January 4th
Luana and Rafaela insist and accompany Marcos and Zé do Araguaia. Donana tells Lia that if Bruno doesn’t come back, she and her husband will leave the farm. Geremias thinks Rafaela could be a Berdinazi. He sends Tavinho to get Rafaela. Saracura complains that Lia has traveled and left the contracts open. The search continues without success and everyone is worried. Marcos still hopes to find his father. He and Zé do Araguaia return to the forest without Rafaela and Luana. Bruno walks through the forest. Bruno eats bugs to survive. Luana takes the boat and goes in search of Bruno along the Araguaia. Geremias sends Tavinho to Ribeirão Preto by plane. Lurdinha complains about Saracura’s indifference. Liliana searches for news about Marcos. Tavinho arrives at the Mezenga’s house. Luana returns home tired. Liliana invites Tavinho over for dinner and tries to persuade him to wait for Rafaela. Tavinho calls Geremias and tells him that Rafaela is in Pará.
Thursday, January 5th
Marcos decides to look for his father again. Donana tells Zé do Araguaia that Luana is pregnant. Liliana is late and argues with her mother. Zé do Araguaia, Luana and Marcos embark on another day of searching. Donana, Lia and Rafaela lose hope. Bruno hears the sound of the boat and goes in search of the Araguaia. He finds the flow and celebrates. He passes out on the river bank. Luana and Marcos find Bruno and cry. Bruno asks for a kiss. They hug excitedly. Lia gets nervous and says she’s leaving. Bruno says he goes to the farm and eats a whole ox. Suzane puts pressure on Ralf. She believes that Ralf and Léia sabotaged Bruno’s plane. Léia calls Julia and finds out that Lia is coming back from Araguaia. Liliana invites Tavinho to her house for dinner. The senator comes and finds Tavinho. Bruno arrives at the farm. Lia screams excitedly. Rafaela kisses Marcos and Donana hugs her boss.
Friday January 6th
Lurdinha faints upon hearing that Bruno Mezenga is alive. Senador Caxias is pleased with the news. Zé do Araguaia talks to Donana about Bruno Mezenga and Luana. In Ribeirão, the press gathers in the mansion and irritates Marcos with inappropriate questions. Leia is moved by Marcos’ interview. Bruno Mezenga tells Luana about his survival experience. Senador Caxias and Tavinho discuss land reform. Luana says she is returning to Ribeirão with Bruno Mezenga. Lia and Liliana are talking on the phone. Marcos invites Rafaela over for a drink and she says she needs to meet up with Otavio. Ralf is furious when he hears the news and begins to get aggressive towards Leia. Bruno Mezenga, Luana, Zé do Araguaia and Donana are talking. Bruno Mezenga says he will give Leia’s oxen. Firefly receives money from the record company and says he’s going to buy an ox. Marcos becomes jealous of Otávio and Rafaela. Otávio tries to convince Rafaela to return to Geremias’ farm. She agrees to return to the farm and speak to her uncle.
