The arrival of the first snow has not put an end to the work on the roads in the Greater Montreal area, as obstacles are still expected this weekend, particularly on the Honoré-Mercier bridge, the Saint-Pierre interchange and on the Papineau-Leblanc -Bridge.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD) is urging motorists to avoid these sectors “where possible”.
Here are the biggest obstacles expected in the metro area from November 10th to 13th:
PAPINEAU-LEBLANC BRIDGE/AUTOR ROUTE 19 – From Friday 10 p.m. to Sunday 11 p.m.

Southbound
• Between Laval and Montreal (Ahuntsic-Cartierville district), total closure of the A-19 southbound, between exit 8 (A-440) and Boulevard Henri-Bourassa, including the Papineau-Leblanc Bridge.
Detours: via the A-440 access road and continue in the desired direction
Eastbound: Exit 30 (R-125 South) toward Pie IX Bridge.
Westbound: Exit 22 (A-15 South), direction Médéric Martin Bridge.
Standard closing times: from 9:30 p.m

The entrances to the boulevards Saint-Martin, de la Concorde and Lévesque.
Note: Access to Boulevard Saint-Martin via the A-440 and the southern access road A-19 remains.
heading north
• Between Montreal (Ahuntsic-Cartierville district) and Laval, complete closure of the A-19 northbound between Henri-Bourassa and de la Concorde boulevards, including the Papineau-Leblanc Bridge.
Detour: on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa, over the Pie-IX (eastbound) or Viau (westbound) bridges and Boulevard de la Concorde. For trucks via the A-440.
PONT HONORÉ-MERCIER – Saturday, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
PROVIDED BY MTQ
• Complete closure of the bridge toward Montreal and contraflow (1 lane each direction) toward South Shore (R-138 West, upstream bridge).
Note: In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational restrictions, this obstacle will be postponed to Sunday according to the same schedule.
The Airlie Street entrance remains open. Work on the provincial part of the bridge under the responsibility of the MTMD.
SAINT-PIERRE INTERCHANGE – From Friday 11:59 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m
PROVIDED BY MTQ
• Closure of the slip road from the R-138 East (coming from the Honoré Mercier Bridge) to the A-20 East (towards the city center).
Detour: via the westbound ramp of the A-20, intersection with 1re Avenue, U-turn at the traffic lights and Montréal-Toronto Boulevard.
