The plot thickened in Bill Belichick's free agency drama.

With two embarrassing wild-card losses at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, Belichick could be looking for new cities that weren't available this time last week.

The former Patriots coach amicably parted ways with New England last week after 24 years and immediately began his job search by interviewing with the Atlanta Falcons.

With this news, which was announced on Monday, Atlanta moved up to favorite status at FanDuel Sportsbook and secured the services of the six-time Super Bowl winner in 2024.

He's followed by Belichick, who doesn't get a job as an NFL head coach (+230), and the Cowboys (+330).

The Eagles are not on the field yet, but fall into the “any other NFL team” option (+450).

Below is the full list of Belichick's landing spot in 2024:

Odds for Bill Belichick's next team

Atlanta Falcons +170
NFL team personnel (not head coach role) +230
Dallas Cowboys +340
Every other NFL team +450
Las Vegas Raiders +750
Los Angeles Chargers +750
Carolina Panthers 25/1
Retirement/Airdate January 25th
New Orleans Saints 34/1

Should Eagles coach Nick Sirianni or Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy be fired, Belichick could fit well as a solid defensive player with a proven track record of leading teams from the promised land.

The two NFC East disappointments lost by a combined 49 points over the weekend, with neither team leading at any point in their respective losses.

Betting on the NFL?

It seems like Belichick can get the Falcons head coaching job if he wants it.

But will he stick around and wait for owners Jerry Jones or Jeffrey Lurie to decide whether their current coaches are the right men for the job?

Neither owner has commented on the job security of their respective coaches despite the poor playoff finishes.
