This was announced by the ESPN network on Monday.
“OBJ” has been a free agent since the end of the 2021 season, at Super Bowl LVI, which he won with the Los Angeles Rams, he injured his knee badly.
The 30-year-old skipped the NFL’s final season to recover from his injury. He has eight seasons of Goodell Circuit experience, having also played for the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns.
In 96 career games, Odell Jr. caught 531 balls for 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns. During his first three years in the NFL, he received invitations to the Pro Bowl game.
Coming back to the Ravens, the Maryland team has been looking for a true #1 wide receiver for several years. Since quarterback Lamar Jackson’s era with the Ravens, the 2019 campaign, the club hasn’t relied on very dangerous offensive weapons, to help him.
Last year, tight end Mark Andrews had the most yards in catches. He put his hands on 73 balls for 847 yards and five touchdowns.
In March, Jackson publicly said he had asked the Ravens for a trade. However, it appears that the team has no intention of complying with his request. Luring Odell Jr. to Baltimore could be the organization’s strategy to persuade the talented quarterback to stay.
