In 22 editions, “Big Brother Brasil”, which will start its 23rd program next week, has already brought together more than 300 participants. However, some of them are no longer with us. Think of the deceased former reality contestants, three of them from BBB 9.
Buba, from “BBB4”
Edílson Buba went to prison at the age of 32 and was eliminated sixth in the edition where Cida was the champion. The Curitiba businessman died of complications from abdominal cancer in November 2006, two years after the reality show.
As soon as he left home, the Paraná man posed nude for G Magazine and had an NGO for the rehabilitation of drug users.
Cowboy, from “BBB9”
André Cowboy won a spot on “BBB9” after being the most voted on Casa de Vidro alongside Maira Cardi to be on the reality show. The sertanejo singer also died two years after participating in the program. He was 37 years old and was murdered in June 2011 on his own farm in inland São Paulo.
In reality, the São Paulo native of São Bernardo do Campo seemed like a villain, arguing with several participants and imagining game situations. He was the sixth eliminated with 71% in a triple wall with Naiá and Josiane.
Nonô, from “BBB9”
The ninth edition also lost another participant: Norberto Carias dos Santos, Nonô. The radio host entered reality at the age of 63. Until then, he was the oldest participant to enter the house. He died of cancer in São Carlos in July 2017 at the age of 72.
Josy Oliveira, from “BBB 9”
Josiane, known as Josy Oliveira, also took part in the ninth edition of “Big Brother Brasil” and died in September 2021 at the age of 43. She had complications from head surgery to treat an aneurysm diagnosed in late 2020 and couldn’t resist.
The girl from Juiz de Fora took part in the reality show after passing the Casa de Vidro vote. She has a degree in psychology and is also a singer.
