Ohio State vs. Penn State result: Live game updates, college football scores today, NCAA top 25 highlights – CBS Sports

On the home stretch, a stone battle awaits us at the Horsehoe. No. 3 Ohio State leads No. 7 Penn State 10-6 after three quarters in a game that was accurately reflected on the scoreboard. While the Buckeyes, like so many times this season, moved the ball effectively to begin their opening drive, the offense stalled in the red zone and settled for a field goal. Penn State was able to move into Ohio State territory thanks to two long runs. Aside from these plays, however, there wasn’t much on offer offensively.

The biggest moment of the game didn’t count in the end. As the Buckeyes played a third-and-long at Penn State’s 21-yard line, Kyle McCord was sacked and fumbled. Penn State picked up the ball and returned it for a touchdown, but a defensive hold on Kalen King negated the entire play. Then, thanks to a personal foul on Penn State, Miyan Williams scored the game’s only touchdown from two yards out.

The second biggest play of the game was Ohio State getting stuffed on a four-and-goal in the third quarter, but after forcing a quick three-and-out, an Ohio State blocker came in contact with Penn State’s punt and The Nittany Lions kept getting the ball. Then they made a three-pointer and gave the ball right back.

It’s been such a day and we still have a quarter to go. It’s still anyone’s game if someone decides to win it.
