Cleveland police have launched an investigation into sexual crimes after saying a sex tape showing a teacher at a boys’ high school was sent to more than 200 students this month.
According to a police report, on February 15, officers received a complaint from the director of the Ginn Academy about a sexually explicit video of a teacher and her boyfriend, which was distributed to students earlier this month.
An unnamed teacher told investigators she heard rumors that her personal video, stored on her mobile phone, had leaked and was shared with students, but the teacher denied sending the X-rated recording.
Police said the sex tape was AirDropped by students at Ginn Academy on Feb. 7 along with four or five other videos, but only one of the recordings is believed to contain X-rated material.
A teacher at the Cleveland Gene Academy has been fired for her expired sex tape, which was sent to more than 200 students in early February.
Cleveland Police Department for Sexual Offenses said it believed a student had gained access to the teacher’s unlocked phone and used the AirDrop feature to send the sex tape to other iPhones nearby. Cleveland 19.
The Cleveland school district in Sofia announced that the teacher was removed from the school pending the outcome of the investigation.
The teacher is currently on paid leave.
“Our collective agreement with the district provides a process that protects our members, the district and students when accusations involving members are made,” a statement from the Cleveland Teachers’ Union said. “We will work with our member and the district through this process.”
No criminal charges have been filed in the case as of Thursday morning.

Ken Trump, a local parent who runs a school safety consulting firm. he said Fox 8 that even if the teacher did not personally send the video to the students, this does not absolve her of guilt.
“It makes you feel like you have a stroke, especially when you’re an authoritative figure and a role model for children,” he said. “It doesn’t matter how the video is shared. In the first place, it should not be there and accessible to children in any form.
Ginn Academy is a public high school for all boys in Cleveland. It opened in 2007 and currently has 337 students.
