His Ontario junior league team, the Ottawa 67, said Thursday morning that he underwent multiple medical exams that convinced specialists to release him from the hospital. “He’s in good shape and resting at home,” added the 67er, specifying that the 18-year-old Austrian will be sidelined indefinitely.

Rohrer fell badly while trying to dodge a body check from the Kingston Frontenacs’ Thomas Budnick in the first half of Wednesday’s game. Struck in the hip, he fell awkwardly, his neck and head taking the shock. He immediately left the scene on a stretcher.

The Habs’ third-round pick, 75th overall, in the 2022 draft has 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points in 28 games this season.
