Oilers Significant reinforcements

Oilers: Significant reinforcements expected

After the thaw on Wednesday against the Canucks in Vancouver (8-1), the Oilers receive significant reinforcements for the revenge, which this time takes place on Saturday in Edmonton.

In fact, defenseman Mattias Ekholm will return to the Edmonton team. The latter did not take part in any preseason games due to a hip injury.

“We wanted to deal with the situation as intelligently as possible and that’s why Mattias [Ekholm] Did not play in Wednesday’s game, Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft said in comments relayed by NHL.com. He’s had another good day since then and seems to be in good shape.”

The Swedish full-back’s presence will certainly help offset the club’s numerical deficit, allowing three goals from six opposition attempts on Wednesday.

Ekholm was traded from the Nashville Predators to the Oilers at the last trade deadline and played 21 games for Edmonton at the end of last season, recording four goals and 10 assists for 14 points.
