Old Montreal is Canada’s most “Instagramworthy” place for tourists, well ahead of Niagara Falls and Whistler Blackomb ski resort just north of Vancouver.
A new study by CasinoBonusCA.com compared different tourist locations based on the number of Instagram posts that included the location’s hashtag.
Old Montreal thus appears 22,398,024 times, compared to just 6,328,308 times for Niagara Falls. Whistler, which ranks third, counted just 3,526,920 posts.
It is followed by Old Quebec (2,565,213), Toronto’s CN Tower (1,769,780), Granville Island (819,990) and Stanley Park (789,493) in Vancouver.
The comparison site analyzed the hashtags related to the country’s top 50 tourist destinations by travel site to rank the most popular. Posts without hashtags were not included in the comparison.
