Olivia Newton-John’s husband John Easterling has revealed the Grease star’s last wish before her death.
The Australian actress died peacefully at her home in Southern California on Monday morning at the age of 73 surrounded by family and friends.
Easterling revealed on Facebook that the actress and her family had asked for donations to her charity, the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, in lieu of flowers in her memory.
In the heartbreaking post, he wrote: “Olivia has been a symbol of triumph and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicines continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund dedicated to research into plant medicines and cancer.’

“In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund in her memory.”
The foundation supports research in the field of herbal medicine and the holistic treatment of cancer.
Olivia, who was diagnosed with cancer twice in 2017 and 1992 and 2013, has campaigned for years to get the Australian government to authorize the use of medicinal cannabis for cancer patients.

Easterling grew medicinal cannabis for Olivia on her US ranch to “help with her symptoms.”
Olivia previously said it was a “medicinal plant,” adding, “Medicinal cannabis is something that should be available to anyone suffering from a chronic illness or pain.”
“It really is a magical miracle plant.”
Olivia also opened her multi-million dollar cancer treatment center in Melbourne in 2012.
The center treats patients and conducts groundbreaking research and clinical trials.
