Olivia Rodrigo is a vision in a black sequin dress as she attends the premiere of Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes in LA – and releases a music video for the film’s theme song

All eyes were on Olivia Rodrigo as she attended the star-studded premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 20-year-old singer wowed at the event, which took place at the TCL Chinese Theater. She wore a black sequin halter dress that hugged her body and featured pink and purple floral embellishments.

The beauty wore her chocolate brown tresses parted in the middle and styled straight for the evening.

She paired the dress with a pair of black sky-high heels. The star opted for soft glamour, with just a touch of pink blush on her cheeks and bronze eye make-up.

Around the same time as the premiere, the singer released the music video for her ballad Can’t Catch Me Now, the film’s theme song.

She was seen mingling with her best friend Conan Gray, 24, on the red carpet.

He wore a vintage-style white shirt that he left mostly unbuttoned, underneath a black and gold blazer and black pants.

Olivia’s whimsical new music video begins with the singer strumming her guitar in a cottage while wearing a white dress.

“There’s blood on the mountainside/ There’s writing all over the wall/ Our shadows are still dancing/ In every room and every hall,” she sings.

“There’s snow falling over the city/You thought it would be washed away/The bitter taste of my anger/And all the mess you made/Yeah, you think you got away.”

The first verse is then followed by a dreamy chorus in which Olivia sings, “But I’m in the trees, I’m in the wind/My footsteps on the ground/You’ll see my face everywhere/But you can.” “Catch me now.” not.”

“Through the wading grass the months will pass/You’ll feel it everywhere/I’m here, I’m there, I’m everywhere/But you can’t catch me now/No, you can’t catch me now.”

Then Olivia leaves the cabin and wanders through a field.

The film’s full soundtrack will be released on Friday when the film hits theaters.

The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is a prequel set 64 years before the events of the original series.

It shows the 10th annual Hunger Games, where mentors are introduced for the first time to make the competition appear more “illustrative.”

Fans will remember Coriolanus Snow as the tyrannical President of Panem, but in this film Tom Blyth plays him as an 18-year-old man preparing for his only chance at glory as a mentor at the Games.
