Olivia Wilde was served legal documents on behalf of her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis while on stage in Las Vegas.
The 38-year-old director was promoting her new film at CinemaCon when she was presented with a brown envelope.
According to US media reports, a person from the seats on the stage at Caesars Palace approached and pushed an envelope labeled “Personal and Confidential” across the front of the stage towards her.
According to Deadline, she then opened it to find custody documents on her two children with Sudeikis, the comedian and star of Ted Lasso.
A source for Sudeikis, 46, told Variety: “Papers have been drawn up to establish jurisdiction over Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis’ children.

“Mr Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place the envelope would have been delivered as that would be solely up to the process service company involved and he would never condone having it delivered in such an inappropriate manner.”
The couple Separated at the end of 2020 after almost ten years together and are parents to Otis (eight) and Daisy (five).
Following the incident, Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon said, “We have never had an incident in the history of the convention where a delegate approached the stage who was not authorized to be there.
